Carolina is Solo Female Singer / Pianist covering a range of pop, soul and jazz, specialising in weddings, functions and corporate events

Carolina is a Singer, Songwriter, Pianist and Vocal/Piano Tutor based in Manchester, UK Carolina was born in Madrid, Spain and moved to the UK at a young age and now lives in Manchester. Carolina's passion for music started at the age of 9 learning to play the piano, shortly followed by singing. Since the age of 14 she has been heavily involved in Musical Theatre playing a range of lead and chorus roles. However, Carolina has always had a growing passion for all styles of music and over the years has trained in classical, pop, jazz, gospel, soul and musical theatre. Carolina currently teaches singing and piano for Salford Music and Performing Arts Service (MAPAS) and privately in her own home studio in Urmston. Carolina's Professional singing takes her from singing in the jazz circuit to singing in the wedding circuit and other venues as part of function bands and as a solo singer / pianist! Carolina is available for hire as a Solo Singer / Pianist covering a range of pop, soul, jazz and musical theatre/Disney songs. Her background in Musical Theatre, Jazz and Gospel/Soul give her vocals unique quality and versatility. Her influences are the likes of Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, Adele, Birdy and Aretha Franklin, among other great artists. Carolina specialises as a Wedding Singer and is also available for other special events such as functions, private parties, birthdays, kid's parties, restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs.

What to expect

Carolina is a Solo Female Singer / Pianist specialising in weddings, functions and special events. She covers a mix of pop, soul and jazz on piano and vocals. She will work with you to create a lovely atmosphere for you and your guests and help you create an unforgettable day! For Weddings Carolina specialises in Daytime Wedding Music for: THE CEREMONY... Carolina can make your wedding ceremony extra special with live music by playing songs customised just for you! This will include: Walking down the aisle music (the one that will tear up your guests and mums!) Signing of the register (to fill an awkward silence and allow for photos to be taken!) Exit music (a special song to welcome the new 'Mr & Mrs' and end the ceremony) Carolina is happy to learn special requests for you to make it more personal. This section can also include a 20-30 mins set to entertain your guests on arrival prior to the start of the ceremony. However some brides and grooms prefer to save the live music until the bride entrance to make more of an impact so this is totally up to you! THE DRINKS RECEPTION / PHOTOGRAPHS / CANAPES... In this section Carolina can play live music to cover the photos/drinks/canapes reception part of your wedding day after your ceremony. This typically includes about 2x45 minute sets or if your reception is shorter maybe 1 continuous set of 1 hour, giving your drinks reception a lovely cocktail lounge feel! Again you are free to customise your repertoire from Carolina's list or any special requests you may have. If Carolina has already played your ceremony she is happy to change locations within the venue to play your drinks reception, maybe even set up outdoors (if the great British weather allows it!) THE WEDDING BREAKFAST... This includes background music to cover the period you and your guests will sit down for your meal. This is perfectly suited to provide entertainment but still allow your guests to eat, drink and chat whilst enjoying the music. Carolina will usually perform 2x45 minute sets, however this can vary if you want to spread the live music and cost between the other sections of the day! Any time Carolina is not playing live music she will make sure the gap is filled with background music played through the PA. EARLY EVENING / FIRST DANCE... Before the real party starts and you may hand over to a DJ, Carolina can cover the period after your meal up to and including your 1st dance. There's no match to having live music for that special 1st dance! Carolina is happy to consider and learn your special 1st dance request if you have one! Carolina can play for any 1 of the sections mentioned above or more than one to create a bespoke package to suit your needs. If you choose more than 1 section of live music Carolina is happy to change locations within your venue. Please remember to factor in the extra time for this as it will mean dismantling all equipment, moving and setting up in the new location. Any assistance that can be organised (especially if there is any stairs involved!) is always welcome and will make the move much quicker! A typical change of location would take about 30 minutes provided the rooms are close to each other and some assistance is provided! Playing outdoors for the drinks receptions is always great too when the sun is shining. Please do remember that this is only weather permitting as all equipment is electrical and cannot get wet. Any chance of the slightest bit of rain and you would need to find an alternative set up space - sometimes she can set up on or near a doorway so she's covered in case of a drizzle or torrential downpour and guests can still fleet in and out and hear the music whether they're inside or outside so it's a win-win! All your booking options above will include you choosing your own repertoire from Carolina's full Repertoire list and any special requests you may have will be considered and if suitable learnt at no extra cost. As well as the live music sets any quotes given will include travel expenses, all equipment, set up and waiting times and music through the PA during breaks. If there is already a piano at the venue let Carolina know in case it can be used for the performance!

Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Access to 1 power socket is needed. I will provide an extension lead. Space to fit speakers on stands and a stage piano. If space is limited or party is small 1 speaker can be used only and I can fit in a corner with the speaker behind me.
