Shimmy & Shhh Silent Disco

My partner and I had an amazing time with Shimmy & Shh. Joe and Ellen are fantastic hosts with an abundance of enthusiasm. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family!

A friend invited me. I had no idea what to expect, but was blown away by the end. It was such good fun. The tour guy was hilarious. Would highly recommend people to get out their comfort zone and give it a go! I'll be back again for sure.

I came across Shimmy & Shh on Instagram and thought I would give it a try. It turned out to be a brilliant and unique experience! From the moment it started, the energy was infectious—Joe and Ellen are absolute gems, effortlessly blending humor, warmth, and a touch of mischief. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in every detail. I laughed, I danced, and I left feeling totally recharged.

If you’ve ever thought, “What I really need is to dance through the streets with strangers while wearing headphones and looking mildly unhinged to passers-by,” then Shimmy & Shhh is your spiritual home. This isn’t just a silent disco - it’s a full-blown joy parade. From the second you pop on those headphones, you’re transported to a world where inhibitions vanish, tunes are banging, and your hips develop a personality of their own. It’s like being in your own music video, except your backup dancers are all having just as much fun as you are, and nobody’s judging your questionable footwork. The hosts are part DJ, part hype squad, part dance therapist. They somehow manage to get everyone - from timid toe-tappers to full-blown Beyoncé impersonators - strutting, shimmying, and howling with laughter in synchronised chaos. Highlights included: A conga line past confused tourists. A collective singalong to Bohemian Rhapsody that may have caused several pigeons to evacuate Trafalgar Square. Watching a 70-year-old man do the worm outside a Pret. (alright, that didn't actually happen, I'm getting carried away) Honestly, I haven’t smiled this much in years. It’s wholesome, it’s hilarious, it’s a workout disguised as a party. Do yourself a favour - grab a ticket, grab a friend, and get ready to strut your silly little heart out. 10/10. Would shimmy again.

Such a fun time! Went on the silent disco tour around London with Ellen and Joe and had the best time. Dancing through the streets with the headphones on was hilarious and unforgettable. Totally recommend it!

Absolutely love these tours, you will never have as much fun sober! The guides get everyone involved and you get lost in your little disco world. Great activity to do with friends and also meet new ones. The best!
