Silk Street Jazz

Hi Jonathan, Just wanted to thank the Jazz Spivs for performing at our event last night for the opening of our new building. The music was spot on and we heard excellent feedback from the guests. Really hope they enjoyed their night and we will definitely keep the band in mind for future events. Thanks again

I was 40 years old... The night of February 14th enveloped the day... The empty space at the front of the marquee merged in with the rest of the 1920s décor as the very talented Jazz Spivs setup. We were ready to go full throttle in to my 40th birthday party! A little party never hurt nobody.. right? Let's just hope we didn't have a repeat of the Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929. I had invited Capone, so we should be good! The Jazz Spivs didn't let us down, turning up in full 1920s attire adding to the atmosphere and clearly enthusiastic about their music. The guests were impressed from the moment they started playing. Shortly afterwards the Silk Street Flappers emerged on the dance floor in a flurry of feathers giving us great entertainment and then getting the guests involved by showing them how to dance 1920s style. It wasn't long before the classic chequered dance floor was full of Charleston bopping guests. It took a while but even I managed to get the moves down to a tee. Performing a great set with great interaction by the girls, my only regret was that they had to end! If you want to throw a classic 1920s party with real quality music then book these guys! I had the five piece band (with the drums) and was very happy! No regrets!

Silk Street played at our wedding and made our day absolutely perfect. They are so professional, punctual and extremely organised making the whole experience so stress free. They looked amazing in their outfits and played brilliantly while we had our photos taken and reception drinks. Everyone commented on the band and enjoyed listening to them. We asked Silk Street to surprise the guests at our wedding outside the church and then head up a parade for us as we walked down a hill to our venue. It was for me the most fun part of our day! The guys were sooo good! They even played our favourite song, bear necessities as we walked along. Our guests absolutely loved them and they added a little bit of magic to our drinks reception. Thank you so much!!! Communication from start to finish was easy too. We are now trying to think up reasons to use you again!

Good morning Silk Street. Well, what can I say…… the send off you gave our darling dad was just amazing. From preceding the funeral cars to the last song at the wake. Absolutely fantastic. I hired Silk Street's Jazz Spivs trio for my 40th and they were absolutely wonderful. Fantastic quality musicians but also really good showmen who integrated into my party really nicely. The fact that they were acoustic meant the balance was really good for a garden party and set up was easy. Brilliant music which created an amazing atmosphere. Thank you.

We booked Silk Street Jazz as a trio for our wedding day in Lavenham in May 22. They surprised our guests at the church and then led us down Lavenham high street where they continued to play for our drinks reception. Communication was excellent and thorough from enquiry stage, booking and on the day co-ordination. The walk was such a memorable highlight. At the reception guests either chose to stand close and have a little jig or equally the music floated through the garden & venue. Their sound will always bring back happy memories and smiles.

These guys were utterly brilliant at our wedding, entertaining everybody for the garden party, and leading a parade to our evening venue… Completely professional, wonderfully entertaining, highly recommended

I would just like to thank Silk Street Jazz for making our friends funeral extra special. They were brilliant from first contact to playing the final tune. Everybody was very impressed. So once again MASSIVE THANKS

Have used Silk Street numerous times for funeral services.. Always excellent music ( New Orleans Jazz style) smart colourful jackets and waistcoat, very personable, with a great selection of music.. really makes an emotional day into a real Celebration of life. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.. Five star definitely

Silk Street Jazz Band played at my Father's funeral. Jonathan was incredibly supportive, guiding us to create the most memorable addition to a sad occasion.
