We Will: - Show you videos of previous gigs, reviews from previous clients, package options to suit your requirements and budget - Provide a professional booking confirmation (complete with important details as well as amount paid and owed) - Encourage you to give us a list of songs and artists that you'd like played on the night, so we're fully prepared to make it personalised - Give you a free consultation for weddings (face to face or online, your choice) to get everything finalised so everything's perfect - Come with top-range equipment including high-spec sound and lighting, all fully insured and PAT tested (certificates available) - Turn up early and in plenty of time to set up and sound/light check, with buffer time in case there are any issues that need to be sorted - Host your event professionally with the amount of energy you want, mixed skilfully whilst putting on an entertaining performance - Display an impressive light show, from our more basic Silver packages though the standard Gold to our ultimate Platinum options - Take requests on the night, making sure all of your guests enjoy themselves and get up to dance - Leave your guests with amazing memories of your night, talking about a party that really stood out from others they've been to We Won't: - Give you only verbal confirmation that you're booked, which might be a problem when nobody turns up to play your event - Cancel your booking at the last minute, or pass it on to someone else who you didn't choose when searching other companies - Get told by the venue we're not allowed to continue because we don't have the sufficient insurance, PAT test, PLI or PRS for Music - Bring our wife/girlfriend to keep us occupied, sit behind a laptop and stare at our phone, get drunk and slur our words on the mic - Display really cheap and tacky lights that look like they've not been updated since the 1970s and don't even go to the beat - Limit your requests to 10 or 20 songs, making it partially about you but mainly playing the same set list we play at every other gig - Use some free computer software that supposedly does the work for us, essentially mismatching music and not reading the crowd - Have regular pauses between songs, or take a break from the music to jump onto the mic and waffle rubbish over and over again - Leave you and your clients with that "get what you pay for" feeling from a cheap and tacky, cheesy and dated, unprofessional disco DJ

Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: We are willing to accommodate smaller spaces etc, but ideally for a typical setup we'd require a space of 10m (L), 1.5m (W) & 3m (H) to fit our equipment cleanly and a minimum of 2 power sockets or up to 4 if possible. If it's a tighter squeeze we can exclude the totems / podiums, adjust speaker placement, or lower the overhead rig and we can run power extensions if you're okay with having cables on show.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Yes we do, both before your event and on the night. We can personalise the music to your tastes by discussing this in advance and play requests from guests on the night, as well as using our experience to play want we think will work well when we're reading the crowd. Without a doubt Sean is the best DJ you will find on the wirral! Booked for my Dad for his 50th for an 80s theme night and we was all very impressed! Everybody had a great night, and a big part of that was the music! He makes the service as personal as possible and makes sure he knows exactly what you want. Well worth the money! (In my opinion it was a little too cheap for the service we received! ) Would definitely recommend and will certainly be booking again for the next event!

I can't recommend their services enough

We booked Spectrum DJ and Lighting Hire for our wedding in July 2015 and they were absolutely fantastic! On first meeting Sean prior to our wedding, my husband and I were incredibly impressed at how professional he was, arriving with a printed form to cover all the details he needed for the night - many questions that we hadn't even considered ourselves! We had a mixture of ages ranging from mid twenties up to sixties at our wedding and the music was just superb! We gave Sean a list of songs we'd like playing for both young and old and he seamlessly weaved them into his set! He was also great at responding to requests on the night and had a fantastic attitude - nothing was too much trouble! We also used their services to do our chair covers at the wedding, which again were brilliant and at a great price! There were two suppliers on our wedding day who we wanted to especially recommend as being outstanding and Spectrum DJ and Lighting Hire are one of them! I can't recommend their services enough or tell you how happy my new husband and I were to have them DJ at our wedding - the dance floor was packed all night! Thanks again so much for making it a fantastic night!

Never used Sean or had any referals before I booked Spectrum so unsure what I was getting, it was my wifes 50th and we had a real mix of age groups. Sean had asked before the party what type of music and what age groups would be present so he could arrange the right mix. I have nothing but good words to say about Spectrum DJ and Lighting Hire! I recently booked them for my 18th and had the best time and so did all my guests! I have had great amounts of compliments and had people asking for contact details to book for themselves! The music was brilliant and every song I had on my personalised playlist got played! Overall it was such a brilliant night and Spectrum DJ and Lighting Hire played a massive part in that and therefore, they deserve 5 stars all around and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to book for a party.

Spectrum DJ'd my daughter's 13 birthday party. She wanted it to be 'cool' and not like a kid's party. Spectrum delivered a great set with a mixture of my daughter's choice ( rave) and chart music to keep everyone happy- as well as requests. The service before the disco was excellent with several emails from Sean checking out exactly what we wanted to ensure a great night. Sean also arrived in plenty of time to set up. The light show was excellent. I would definitely recommend and use again. Great value for money too.

Sean did my 21st birthday party and it was amazing. Was fab from start to finish. He made sure everybody was pleased as I had so many people with different music tastes at my party, I was worried about this and Sean made sure it all went great which it did! He was very easy to talk to and always happy to help or offer advice when I was panicking about people not gettin up to dance - he made sure nobody had an excuse as everybody loved the music and there was songs to suit everybody! Would definitely use Spectrum DJ's again and would definitely recommend to anybody who was wanting a great, polite and happy DJ who knew how to make sure everybody enjoys the night. Thanks again!

I hired a lighting set up for my wedding last weekend. I got a lot of equipment with control gear professionally set up for a very good price. These guys have great equipment, understand how to create stunning effects in different environments and are very helpful in communications and in person. The equipment was delivered when stated and set up when we wanted, very punctual with good communication which is important when organizing events. Pity we couldn't use the smoke machine because of the smoke alarms in the hall, never mind the rest of the lighting was amazing. Would definitely recommend, great value.

Spectrum DJ came to discuss our requirements for our son's engagement party a couple of weeks before and helped us make our choices, nothing was too much trouble. I contacted Spectrum for lighting we required for a joint 18th Birthday party. We only required lighting as we were organising our own music. Sean responded to my initial telephone enquiry promptly and provided information by email outlining a clear breakdown of cost options available to us. He also liaised by text keeping me updated at all times. He arrived in plenty of time to set up the lights and also made suggestions to us to enable the lighting provided to be used to its maximum potential. Sean arrived as previously agreed in plenty of time to dismantle the lights in order that we could leave the room by the designated time. We had Sean for our 25th wedding anniversary on 23rd February 2013 at the Egremont Ferry Wallasey. Sean was pre-booked with the pub as a normal Saturday night so I was so pleased that he rung me a week before to ask what my music preferences were! He did say not to worry because he was usually pretty good at reading a crowd, and how true he was! My 71 year old mum was 'oops upsiding her head'with my 20 year old daughter. Sean was respectful with his music choices considering the age range of the party but was also willing to accommodate the younger guests of our family and friends. A fantastic show for the chips you spend!

We had a 'not moving out' party... We had Sean from spectrum to do a DJ set from 7pm till the early hours of the next morning. Needless to say all our guests had a fantastic weekend and we enjoyed the show Sean put on. We booked Spectrum DJ and Lighting Hire for our wedding in July 2015 and they were absolutely fantastic! On first meeting Sean prior to our wedding, my husband and I were incredibly impressed at how professional he was, arriving with a printed form to cover all the details he needed for the night - many questions that we hadn't even considered ourselves!! We had a mixture of ages ranging from mid twenties up to sixties at our wedding and the music was just superb! We gave Sean a list of songs we'd like playing for both young and old and he seamlessly weaved them into his set! He was also great at responding to requests on the night and had a fantastic attitude - nothing was too much trouble! We also used their services to do our chair covers at the wedding, which again were brilliant and at a great price! There were two suppliers on our wedding day who we wanted to especially recommend as being outstanding and Spectrum DJ and Lighting Hire are one of them! I can't recommend their services enough or tell you how happy my new husband and I were to have them DJ at our wedding - the dance floor was packed all night!
