I specialise in Vintage Disco - 1960 - 1999, including themes - '60's,'70's, 80's or '90's Nights, or any choice of decades, Motown and Northern Soul.

I provide Vintage Disco - the golden age of night-club and party nights, every memorable hit song from 1960 to 1999. In the late '70's and early '80's, I worked as a star DJ at the prominent Stoke-on-Trent night clubs the Place, Sammi Belles, Maxims and Chicos, and for three years I ran the legendary Thursday Party Night at Sammi's which filled with eight hundred dancers every week! I have over forty years experience as a nightclub and mobile DJ, radio presenter, and function compere - whatever you need to make your night a success, we can discuss in advance and ensure that your night is a memorable experience for yourself and your guests.

What to expect

I have modern equipment, with appropriate PAT Test certification and full public liability insurance - documentation can be e-mailed to clients or venues in advance, or are available for inspection on the night of the event. I can provide announcements as and when required, and full compering of an evening if needed. I am delighted to comply with any appropriate dress code from casual -tee shirt or casual shirt, semi-formal - smart trousers, jacket and tie, or suit, to formal - dinner suit and shirt and bow-tie. I can provide fun party games for adults - nothing embarrassing, just good fun for any parties that require something a little extra. My experience makes your experience special.

Q: How long does setup take? A: I like a minimum of one-and-a-quarter hours before start time to ensure I can set up properly without rushing.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Space needed is sufficient to accommodate a compact DJ booth and two speaker stands - i can fit into most corners, but a stage is always welcome! Power requirement is a minimum of one power socket outlet, but obviously more are appreciated if available - power sockets must be located in the area of the disco set-up.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Absolutely! I encourage clients to send me play lists of music they like - or don't like (!) in advance to ensure I have all their wants loaded and ready to go. I also encourage requests and dedications from clients on the night - I usually leave request sheets on tables where available for clients to advise a song choice, dedication, and message if they wish.

I was delighted with the service I received for my dad's party from Andy's Vintage Disco. Nothing was too much trouble for Andy, he liaised with me in advance and agreed some favourite songs, all of which he played, together with all the requests from guests on the night. I always hate DJ's who mumble and you can never hear what they say - Andy's links were crystal clear, but he never imposed on the music, once the party was going and everyone dancing, he let his music selections do the talking. The dance floor was packed right to the end, and there was a massive round of applause from the guests when the final play-out music sounded. I recommend Andy's Vintage Disco, and will be booking again in the future
