My name is Barry Hughes, I am a Monaghan based singer & musician that has over 12 years experience performing for Wedding Couples around Ireland. If a stripped back acoustic performance with a unique twist on some of your favourite songs is what you are looking for then look no further. I've performed all over Ireland and abroad for many types of events but I mostly enjoy specialising in weddings and have been doing so from the age of 22. I am a trained singer and musician performing mostly with acoustic guitar. Ukulele, Low Whistle and Piano can also be incorporated. I work with other musicians from time to time so please ask for info on this if you wish. (cello, harp, violin, female vocalists...) Q: How long does setup take? A: He will be there one hour before your event to set up.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: For a Church Wedding I can perform from the Church Gallery or at the side of the altar. We can discuss these finer details once a booking is confirmed. For a civil/spiritual/humanist ceremony a small space is all that is needed. For Drinks Reception setup - 1/2 sockets and 4ft x 6ft Floor Space to perform. Most hotels and venues have adequate power source and space for live acts to play. Performing outdoors is no problem as long as power is provided.
