Billy Thompson Gypsy Style

We booked Billy for a rolled-up birthday party (from ages 5 to 70!). He and the band were absolutely terrific. The most perfect music for what we wanted: room for dancing and conversation alike. The musicianship is just exceptional: we had some musician friends at the event who were completely spellbound. Thanks so much Billy, we loved it!

Anyone would be lucky to have a musician as talented as Billy to play at their event. I highly recommend him and he made my proposal very special. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Perfect choice for our big day! Billy was absolutely incredible at our wedding in October. We met Billy at a venue open day and immediately knew we wanted to book him for our special day before we had even booked our date/venue! He made sure to play all the songs we had asked for and the special songs at the exact times we had requested. Billy also offered more than once to learn new songs for us in the months leading up to our wedding which I thought was a really nice touch! Billy has absolutely everything you could wish for on his playlist and sounds like he is always learning more to add to the list. He played our ceremony and set the perfect tone for the day, then continued to play for our drinks reception and 3 course meal right up until the speeches where he discreetly packed up and left with no disruption. We couldn’t be more thankful for having Billy play at our day. Our guests loved him and we hope to see you again soon! We will 100000% be recommending you at any opportunity possible! Billy and his band played at my retirement party and gave the most amazing performance, making the evening truly unforgettable for everyone present. The party guests really enjoyed and appreciated the music which got everybody going, and many of those present described the event as the BEST party they'd ever been to! Needless to say, Billy Thompson comes very highly recommended for private functions!

We booked Billy and his band to perform their Gypsy Style Jazz for our wedding evening reception and we couldn't have been happier with their performance. The intoxicating energy if their performance appealed to all our guests. Billy was also accommodating and versatilile enough to perform a special request for us as our first dance, originally intended as a duet between billy and our Pianist, Billy and his band were able to arrange the entire peice to include their 5 members with less than 40 minutes reversal time... And the results were spectacular, and a testiment to the outstanding skill these guys possess. A great night and a wonderful band. 5 stars doesn't do them justice!

If you are thinking of booking Billy, don't think about it just do it! He is an exceptional musician. We booked Billy for our small wedding ceremony last summer. We wanted to add a little style and he certainly did that. He managed to blend our eclectic song choices ( with only 2 days notice) from pop to opera seamlessly to add a certain depth to the day. Billy can be a real showman but also knows how to read the room and blend in when necessary. He is utterly professional and I would highly recommend. Book BILLY!

What a wonderful sound Billy and his group create. Lively but easy to listen to. They connect in an excellent way with their audience. A fantastic evening in their company

Having looked around everywhere for a Gypsy Jazz band I came across a video of Billy playing on You Tube - it was great, and live he was better! We had Billy and the band to play at our party at Galeri Caernarfon after we came back from our wedding abroad. Fantastic performance, and Billy a star who got the crowd really into it all, and we were all dancing (or at least trying to). Billy himself was lovely and accomodating, and was happy to play to my nieces and nephews who had taken a shine to him and the music! Everybody got up to dance and the repertoire was brilliant. Made for a proper party feel. All in all when I saw people afterwards the general gist from everybody was 'great party - but I really loved the band'. So I guess the only problem is that they were everybody's highlight! ;-) Highly recommend Billy and the band to anybody having a party, or for any gig for that matter. Diolch yn fawr Billy - you made a great night even better!

We booked Billy Thompson for the launch of our new Lifestyle store in Ruthin - so glad we did! The music was fabulous, musicians, passionate and the music made the evening. Everyone enjoyed it and are still talking about it. Will definitely be booking him again and have no hesitation in highly recommending him. Talented - Professional and a Genuine Happy Person. A special birthday in July 2011 at the Norwegian Church - a lovely venue for Billy and the band to play and create a special atmosphere. Billy played for us in August 2006 at our wedding reception - hot off the stage in Brecon Jazz. HGM
