Based in London, Chris James is an up and coming Jazz singer from the UK who has emerged onto the scene as one of the best voices around. Chris began performing from the age of 15 and achieved success in his early days with his high school band getting play time on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and supporting bands like 'Reef' and 'Basement Jaxx'. He went on to study at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts where he graduated shaking hands with one of his idols Paul McCartney. After this he secured international residencies in places such as the Cape Verde Islands, entertaining hundreds in high-class hotels. As a professional jazz singer Chris has been noted for his spectacular live shows. Working with numerous renowned acts such as The Phil Shotton Big Band, headlining shows that sold out in theatres across the the North West. He has recorded at the famous Parr Street Studios in Liverpool and appeared live on BBC Radio Merseyside. A masterful take on the classics combined with his charm and charisma ensures for a fantastic entertainment experience.

What to expect

2 x 45 min sets including all the greatest hits from the swing era as sung by legends such as Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Perry Como and more. Chris will sing with only the absolute best quality backing tracks, some of which are unique having recorded them with his own full 17 piece Big Band. Chris can arrive and set up when necessary (usually before guests begin to arrive provided this is within reason). He will then perform a first set of 45mins followed by a break, the length of which is negotiable depending on needs. After the break Chris will continue with the remaining 45mins followed by encores and a few extras if requested, free of charge. The set list can be tailored to suit varying requirements and atmospheres. Whether you want a dazzling night of entertainment that will get everyone up dancing at your party or a relaxed classy touch to a wedding reception this is the package for you!
