Cool Reception are a very special live band based in Edinburgh and central Scotland that cover all types of music from Ceilidh to current hits.

With a reputation for their polished and professional sound, Cool Reception are a very special live band that cover all types of music from Ceilidh to current hits. The band have been performing at weddings, parties, dances and corporate events throughout Scotland and the UK since 1989, and with this much experience you can always count on them to get everyone up on the dance floor. Their reliability, attention to detail and excellent sound and lighting equipment mean they have all the right attributes to make your night one to remember for all the guests. Unfortunately due to past experiences, they’d like to apologise in advance for the guests sore feet at the end of the evening.

What to expect

The band will provide full PA Sound system, dynamic lighting for both themselves and the venue, they also provide background music or non-stop mixes of music to dance to where required or during their breaks.

Q: How long does setup take? A: Depending of the size and the access for a venue, the band can take between 1 hour and 1 and a half hours to setup
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: we will require roughly a minimum of 5m wide by 2m deep space to setup, normally 2 x 13AMP sockets will be enough
Q: Do you take requests? A: we take requests based on our existing setlist, we will consider any special song requests up to 3 months in advance and do our best to try and cover them.
