Hi We're a Ceilidh and Covers band mainly focusing on functions and weddings in Scotland and North East England. We do a mix of traditional and modern music with both male and female vocals. We have a fiddler, guitars and drums and can supply a bagpiper if the function requires it. We have been running for around 15 years and we are all full time or part time professional musicians. We can supply PA and lighting for small events up to around 200 guests. Our equipment is all PAT tested and we also have public liability insurance. We can add additional instruments such as Sax, Brass, Keyboards if you'd like a bigger band.
Our repertoire is deliberately varied but we can focus in on Traditional Scottish, Country, Rock and Roll/Blues, 80's/90's Pop or contemporary as required.
We like to communicate to find out what you want out of your evening and adapt to that. We also like to visit any new venue to check loading and parking spaces and generally make sure we have what is needed for the venues requirements. On the evening you can expect us to engage with your guests. We are personable, professional and well dressed on stage. We do a step through of Ceilidh dances and one of the band will call.
Q: How long does setup take?A: Loading and set up takes up to 90 minutes depending on the size of the venue, the distance from the loading point and the number in the band. We prefer to do a sound check without guests if that is possible. Smaller set ups with good access without lights can be done in 30 minutes. Q: What are your space and power requirements?A: We require a regulated power supply (normal) with at least two 3 pin sockets. Normally we require a stage 4m X3 m. It can be less if we are set up for acoustic. Q: Do you take requests?A: We prefer for requests to be made in advance so that we can prepare and provide a professional quality. We prepare a set list and are happy to share that with the client in advance.
