Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, singer guitarist and session musician Dion Palumbo has travelled a long way performing music via Sydney, Melbourne Liverpool (UK), Manchester and London, as well as performing in Brighton, Bristol, Dublin, Galway, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Rome, Vienna, Geneva, Paris, Toronto, Dallas TX and Washington DC. Notably performing at London 2012 Paralympics. Spending much time in Northwest UK and, combined with his Australian roots, Palumbo has incorporated the sounds of his surroundings and developed something original and unique. Strong, jangly guitar strumming / slick riffs, with a soulful and bluesy voice - guaranteed to engage, inspire and entertain his audience. As a soloist Palumbo performs singalong classics from Bob Marley and the Wailers to The Kinks to The Beatles to David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash to jazz, country and blues - also taking requests. As well as playing pubs, clubs and festivals, with his own original project and for other artists, Palumbo also conducts therapeutic music sessions in London dementia homes and mental health centres. Between songs one can expect some colourful banter, either explanations / information about songs, anecdotes or jokes, and is equally happy playing background music.

Q: How long does setup take?

We booked Dion Palumbo for our engagement party. An absolute professional, he performed jazz standards at a back ground level at the beginning Then brought it up to rock classics and singalongs, just at the right time, took requests and had us dancing!!! Really knows how read the crowd. Excellent banter too !
