Short Description

An upbeat and eclectic collection of huge cover songs done our way! We'll get you saying "Haven't heard this for ages" and singing and dancing along. We love the 90s-2000s but we cover everything from the 60s right up to now. Available for weddings, parties, bars etc.

Act Introduction

Not your average acoustic act! Felix Culpa are Sophie Mapplebeck (vocals, guitar) and Kase Allen (bass, guitar, backing vocals). Performing upbeat sets combining classic songs with unique arrangements and more than a few curveballs thrown in, we aim to get any crowd singing along, saying "I haven't heard this for ages!" and coming back time and again. We're often complimented on our song choices and we hope you agree we bring something you won't hear from many other covers acts! Our covers vary through Rock & Pop, Soul & Motown, Dance & R&B and everything inbetween. We don't do boring.

FAQ

Q: How long does setup take? A: With our own PA, we'll need about 45 minute including load-in. If equipment is provided by the venue we can do this in about 20 minutes.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: A space roughly 3-5 metres wide with access to at least one power point close to the stage area. If outside, nearby protection from the weather would be an advantage. Should we be unable to continue playing due to adverse weather the contract and pay will still stand as agreed - we will offer suggestions at the time but we cannot be held responsible for any contingency plans regarding the weather, this should be considered in advance.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Yes! Absolutely anything. We're well known for doing songs you couldn't have dreamed a duo on acoustic guitars could cover, so feel free to throw some wildcards our way. We love a challenge.

We booked Felix Live to play at our Daughter’s 21st birthday party and they both did an absolutely amazing job all night. Everyone had a fantastic time and commented on how great the band were. They really got the party going and knew exactly what songs to play to keep the dance floor full all night. Saw these two play in Birmingham last night quite by accident, and they were fabulous. Wide variety of music played really well. Sophie has a great singing voice, and Kase has such a breadth of guitar skills.
