Short Description
The New King of Swing - Gary can provide stylish 'swing / Rat Pack' vocals as background to your drinks/canape reception, your wedding breakfast and/or early evening entertainment.
Act Introduction
Gary is widely regarded as one of the UK's most stylish vocalists, specialising in 'swing' music where he performs the classic songs of Sinatra, the Rat Pack. He can appear as a solo performer, or else with anything up to a 7-piece band. He performs for weddings throughout the UK & Europe and has appeared on BBC TV's 'Dont Tell The Bride' (twice!). Gary can offer different set time options to fit in with your wedding timetable to provide stylish vocals as background to your drinks/canape reception, your wedding breakfast and/or early evening entertainment. If performing for your wedding breakfast, he can also provide a microphone for speeches if required. The fee quoted is for a 60 minute performance, but additional time can be provided for a small extra fee. Whatever your needs, Gary will add a touch a class to your wedding and make it go 'with a swing!'
What to expect
My name is GARY GRACE and I am a professional swing vocalist, performing songs associated with great swing singers like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Matt Monro, Michael Buble etc, although I do also have other songs in my repertoire when the occasion demands it. I’m often engaged as a wedding singer and also appear at private or corporate events, as well as aboard cruise liners, but I can occasionally be seen in my own theatre shows around the UK, or at a number of other ticketed functions, including jazz venues where I am one of the few male jazz singers on the UK circuit. I usually perform with a swing band of various sizes…anything from a trio to an 8-piece line-up and occasionally appear as a big band singer, fronting some of the UK’s top 17-piece outfits. I can travel to appear literally anywhere in the world and I am frequently asked to perform as a wedding vocalist for those who prefer to get married in warmer climates. So, if you require a wedding singer or wedding band or have an event coming up where you think that a classy swing vocalist might make your function ‘go with a swing’, then I am sure that I can help you to make it a night (or afternoon) to remember! Just complete the ‘Ask A Question’ section on this page and I will be delighted to discuss the various options that I can offer you. I hope that you enjoy looking at the information on this site and hope to see you at a future event. Best wishes Gary Grace
Weddings
Your ‘big day’ is probably the most important occasion of your life and hopefully you will be looking to book some classy wedding entertainment which will make your event feel unique and special. Whilst a DJ / disco or a ‘covers’ wedding band might give some of your guests an excellent night, this type of entertainment can be commonly found in most pubs, clubs & parties and so might not make your wedding the ‘classy’ occasion that you might prefer it to be. Weddings are not like a normal evening out as, for one thing, it is probably the only occasion where you might have family members of all age groups at the same function. You will also find that it is an occasion that brings people together that might not have seen each other for a while and so it will be quite a ‘social’ occasion where people will want to converse. A wedding can also be a long day for people, particularly if they are travelling, and so the main entertainment for your evening function needs to take place before people might start to drift away. A classy swing singer or swing band is perfect for weddings entertainment as this type of music is all inclusive to all age groups and tends not to rely on high volume which may alienate many of your guests. You have possibly been to many weddings where guests have been unable to hear themselves talk and / or have left early because the music was too loud. ‘Disco’ music is perfectly acceptable towards the end of the evening after many of your guests, who may have a distance to travel, may have already left. Prior to that though, music which appeals to all your guests will help to make everyone feel included in your special day and a swing vocalist is perfect for this. WEDDINGS PLAYLIST Unless you require music as background to your wedding breakfast and/or a drinks reception at some point during your proceedings, the general theme of our wedding entertainment repertoire is to keep things cheerful, lively and up tempo, with just a few slow numbers thrown in for good measure. Each wedding is different and I tend to select the songs on the day from the list below that I think will best suit the mood and atmosphere of your occasion. Of course, if you would particularly like a song that isn’t listed either here or in my main Playlist section, then please don’t hesitate to ask. Some clips of the songs in gold lettering can be sampled on my Soundcloud channel by clicking on them. Private Functions and Events
Rather like weddings, if you are planning a birthday or anniversary party you are likely to be inviting family members of all age groups. You will also find that it is an occasion that brings people together that might not have seen each other for a while and so it will be quite a ‘social’ occasion where people will want to converse and so you need to choose your entertainment with this in mind. A classy swing singer or swing band is perfect for these occasions as it is inclusive to all age groups and tends not to rely on high volume which may alienate many of your guests. You have possibly been to many functions where guests have been unable to hear themselves talk and have left early because the music was too loud. ‘Disco’ music is perfectly acceptable towards the end of the evening after many of your guests, who may have a distance to travel, may have already left. Prior to that, music which appeals to all your guests will help to make everyone feel included in your event. Unlike weddings which can occasionally last all day and evening with unpredictable timescales, a birthday party, Bar Mitsvah, wedding anniversary or other celebration will be easier to manage and tailor your entertainment needs accordingly. For example, you may wish to start with a dinner during which I can arrange for some background music to be playing through my PA system, engage a cocktail pianist or indeed perform as a swing vocalist as background music to the meal to create a good atmosphere. Alternatively you may wish to start with a drinks reception as people arrive and then have some food later in the evening during my performance interval. Whatever your preference I can help you to timetable your evening to ensure that the music flows naturally throughout and that your main entertainment is arranged for when all of your guests are able to enjoy it. CORPORATE EVENTS & DINNER DANCES Whether it be a party or an awards dinner for your employees or a drink reception / dinner for your clients, I can put together a music package that will complement your evening perfectly. Similar if you are a venue offering members of the public tickets to a dinner & dance event then I can help you to theme it accordingly with entertainment to match. A classy swing vocalist is the perfect selection for a ‘Las Vegas’, ‘Rat Pack’, ‘Manhattan’ or ‘Hollywood’ themed event, where ‘dressing to impress’ is part of the attraction when people can look their best and feel that they are at a special and sophisticated function. PLAYLIST Unless you require music as background to a dinner or a drinks receptions, the general theme of my party repertoire is to keep things cheerful, lively and up tempo, with just a few slow numbers thrown in for good measure. We had the good fortune to book Gary for our wedding at Old Trafford - he was a fantastic addition to our reception and even let us add a couple of requests! Our guests still talk about his rendition of "That's Amore" - I want to get married again just so that I can book him for another set!

We were lucky enough to have The Wedding Crooner perform at our wedding. I had been searching for the right performer for some months (to my wife’s stress!) before eventually finding Gary, who managed to fit in a performance for us. He contacted us to discuss our requirements, providing options and recommendations, and kept in touch leading up to the night. The whole process was very easy from our side and completely professional by Gary and his band. Everyone in attendance commented how much they loved the performance. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again for any event.

We are lucky enough to have had Gary perform at our wedding. He stayed with us all day, entertaining guests outside before the ceremony, singing as I walked up and down the isle as well as making our reception in the evening a fabulous party atmosphere, full of dancing. Gary even sang a song not ‘ratpack’ related as per our request during the ceremony. Couldn’t recommend him enough. Top man

Gary performed at my wedding last year - he was amazing. His song choice was excellent, he knew how to work the crowd and he delivered a memorable evening to everyone who attended. His delivery is both professional and polished - I’m looking for a party excuse to do it all again! He truly made mine and Andy’s day one to remember and cherish and that of our guests.

We were lucky enough to secure a booking with Gary for our wedding. He was really amazing. So professional, entertaining & engaging. It was like having an LA Crooner of our very own. He is so slick & polished & looks & sounds every inch the part. A silky-voiced singer of sentimental jazz favourites & more. No wonder he is an in demand, international entertainer. Highly recommended & many thanks for being there for us.
