Welcome to Groove Star The premium Wedding and Party Band in the South, Established in 2012. Groove Star is a dynamic and experienced band that has been setting the stage on fire at weddings, corporate events, and festivals. Our talented musicians and entertaining vocalists are a winning combination, ensuring that your guests will be dancing all night long. We take great pride in delivering top-notch entertainment that will keep everyone on their feet and create memories to cherish forever. Music is at the heart of what we do, and we have a diverse repertoire that caters to all tastes. Whether you're a fan of classic soul and Motown artists like Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Whitney Houston, Chic, Earth, Wind and Fire and Tina Turner, contemporary artist such as Bruno Mars, Lizzo, Walk the Moon, or 80's and 90's rock rock anthems from Bon Jovi, Journey or The Kings of Leon. We've got you covered. We can also perform a full-night of Soul, Motown, Funk and disco on request. Please take the time to view on live videos on our media page. Musicians in the band have performed or recorded with Sir Cliff Richard, S Club 7, The Supremes, Ray Quinn, Kevin Simm (Liberty X, current lead vocalist with Wet, Wet,Wet), Bradley Walsh, Andy Abraham, Sam Bailey (X-Factor) and even Sir Simon Rattle! Support tours also include the Legend and Godfather of soul James Brown, The Animals, Steve Cropper, Saxon, Ugly Kid Joe and many more! Daytime entertainment We can also perform in the day time after your ceremony. Solo pianist Solo saxophonist (with backing tracks) Duo - double bassist and pianist or saxophonist and pianist performing classic jazz Jazz trio - saxophone, piano and bass performing jazz classics and soulful pop songs Jazz quartet - saxophone, piano, bass and drums (drummer can play with brushes to keep the volume down) We can perform well known jazz standards, Latin (bossa-nova, samba etc) and funky Motown and soul classics! A female jazz vocalist can be added to any of the above line-ups.

What to expect

All packages include * Our professional PA system suitable for up to 200 guests. If a larger system is required please contact us. * Stage lighting. Basic stage lighting suitable for most events. * Dj/background music before and after our live sets. * First dance request Please ensure you let us know in advance. We also have the ability to plug your media device (mobile phone, iPad, laptop) into our system so we can play it for you. * 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 1 hour of live music Public Liability Insurance

Q: How long does setup take? A: Between 60-90 minutes depending on the access to the venue and the size of the band booked.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: 4-piece, 5-piece and 6-piece band 4-metres across, 3 metres depth. This is the minimum requirement, the more space we have the better show we can put on for you. 7-piece, 8-piece band with full horn section 5-metres, 3 metres depth (4 meters is ideal).
Q: Do you take requests? A: We can take requests for a first dance or just a song that's special to you in advance.
