Haney's Big House is a five-piece Rhythm & Blues combo playing in the traditional 40’s/50’s style. A line-up of Drums, Double Bass, 2 Guitars and Harmonica with period-vintage dress, instruments and equipment creates the authentic 'juke joint' dance sound which is the essence of Haney’s Big House. Named after a legendary 50s dance hall in Ferriday, Louisiana, Haney's Big House brings a powerful driving mix of Jump Blues, Swing, Rockabilly and Rock & Roll. A favourite of both dancers and music lovers, the band is in high demand for themed parties and clubs, summer festivals and a host of major vintage events throughout the UK. Although they pack a big sound, they are a relatively small band and so are able to be very competitively priced and can also fit into smaller venues and are great for garden parties or weddings. Frequent guests on Radio (BBC's Bernie Keith's Rock 'n' Roll Heaven and Geoff Barker's Rock 'n' Roll shows amongst others) and signed to the Western Star label, their full debut CD 'Herding Cats' was released to critical acclaim in February 2019 and went straight to no 10 in the UK Rock 'n' Roll charts. What to expect

We play 90 minutes of uptempo live dance music (2 x 45 or 3 x 30 minutes depending on how you want to run your event) with lighting and full PA rig, sound mixing and interval music (if required/booked)

Q: How long does setup take? A: If we provide PA, we will need approx 90mins to set up & sound check. If the PA is provided by the venue we can be up& running in 30-45mins.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Wer are a 5piece band and need a stage (area) of about 10m2 and a couple of mains powerpoints in the vicinity.
Q: Do you take requests? A: We have a full and varied repertoire but we will consider any genuine requests -fitting the general 40's/50's theme of the band- at time of booking
