Lucy graduated with BMus in Music with First Class Honours from Bangor University, North Wales. She is currently continuing her studies with a Masters at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff in Harp Performance. Previously, she spent 3 years at the London Royal Academy of Music Junior Department under teacher Miriam Keogh. Here she studied crucial performance skills, including both solo and within ensembles. She also performed regular concerts with the Academy Orchestra including works such as Night on Bald Mountain - Mussorgsky, Die Moldau - Smetana, The Seasons - Glazunov and Swan Lake No. 1 Scene - Tchaikovsky.
Lucy has been performing at events publicly for over 6 years and has been guest harpist for concerts with The Caldicot Male Voice Choir and Royal Naval Association Male Voice Choir. She also spent the most recent Christmas 2021 Season performing at Plas Newydd House and Garden (National Trust).
Q: How long does setup take?A: Set up can take 30 minutes, however, I aim to get to the venue 45 minutes to an hour early to ensure there is time to get the harp out of the car, in position and fully tuned. This also includes putting the covers back into the car if there is nowhere to store these. Q: What are your space and power requirements?A: I do not need a power supply if the harp is not being amplified (unless specifically requested). I do however, need a fair amount of room with the harp as it is over 6 foot - please take a close look at all of the event photos!
I also need flat and dry area to perform - I can perform outside as long as cover can be provided weather permitting. To perform on a surface such as grass, please let me know in advance and I can organise brining a small tile to sit and protect the harp on. Q: Do you take requests?A: Absolutely! I love getting requests for songs/pieces that are special to you. I just lease ask that this is as far in advance as possible to I can begin arranging them for you!
