Flautist Harry Phillips has created a diverse and successful career in music since he first lifted a flute at the age of 11. At the age of 15 Harry, already an accomplished flautist, was chosen by Sir James Galway OBE to play in concert with him in the American Embassy, Dublin, following a week long master class he had hosted.
Harry has performed and played professionally for over 30 years both as a soloist and as part of larger ensembles. He has a wealth of experience having performed at a wide variety of events including; playing for Royalty at Hillsborough Castle, various performances in the Ulster Hall, Bunratty Castle Limerick, and other impressive venues throughout the country.

Amazing talent and a gentleman.

A personal thanks to our fantastic musical entertainment on the night, classical flautist, vocalist and guitarist Harry Phillips for a wide range of modern pieces and classic pieces, I especially enjoyed Skyfall on the close session!
Harry is a first class flautist, 30 years in the business and having worked alongside Sir James Galway in Harry’s early years, as well as playing for royalty on various occasions across NI and ROI we were especially privileged to have him play at our key second half year event.
The change in atmosphere from other events was instantly noticeable, it added a touch of class, increased professionalism, a change to the usual pop and chart background music from a laptop, and had everyone relaxed and mingling whilst able to listen and talk without the need to ask to turn it down a little. His knowledge of acoustics, where to place equipment to optimise clarity and sound is impressive and we already have him booked for our prestigious 70th anniversary night in 2019.
