A wedding photographer based in a village outside Bedford. I make it my mission to capture the personalities and mutual passions of both bride and groom I photograph in order to tell a story and create unique memories. By acknowledging that no two wedding are the same which is why I specialise in offering a bespoke and personalised wedding photography service. Whether you envisioned a quaint ceremony or a lavish fairytale wedding, I will adapt to your needs. To succeed in making the bride and groom feel at ease, I have a reliable, friendly and professional manner. The key to capturing the perfect wedding photography is ensuring the bride and groom feel comfortable enough to show their true nature. I succeed in achieving this by arranging to meet each bride and groom for food or coffee (and cake) before the big day. Let’s not stop there, I can also help take the stress out of the occasion by ensuring the couple are in the right place at the right time on the day itself.

What to expect

I always have a FaceTime or face-to-face meeting with my couples (or a call for events) to make sure i know exactly what you need. Least then when i arrive, i am not a stranger but your photographer who you know a little about and feel more comfortable around. I focus on the requirements of the day, ask for a list of the most important shots and carry this with me, to make sure each shot has been done. I am a friendly and approachable person which allows you to come to me on the day and request a specific shot, friends and family can do the same too

Q: How long does setup take? A: I tend to set up in the car so when I arrive (always 15mins early) I am ready to go so I do not miss a single thing.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: I use batteries so no power supply is needed. Space wise, I have all my kit in my backpack which I keep tucked under a table or on my back.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Yes, I am there to work around you on the day. I specialise in being bespoke to everyone to make sure I capture what you have asked for.

We got married on 28th August 2021 and James did a fantastic job of capturing our special day. He went over and beyond for us focusing on the moments that meant the most to us. He was very attentive, calm and reassuring on the day while our nerves were sky high he made us both feel much more relaxed. He also did a pre shoot for us to get to know our personalities and what we like, which we thought was great before the big day! Weddings can be stressful enough without the added worry of whether the photographer will take over, offend the new in-laws or keep the bride and groom away from the party for so long during the day that they miss out. Fundamentally, will he record the day and deliver good photographs to treasure and make you smile? There were no such worries with James and it was brilliant to have him as part of our day engaging with all our guests, several of whom have subsequently booked him for their own big day. We stumbled upon James by accident and quite simply he was brilliant. He took all the stress out of organising and managing people, enabling us to enjoy our day. We met in advance, he carefully listened to our brief (and budget), suggesting various shots and explained how he would make everything work, even with wet weather contingencies. On the day itself we were barely aware James was there – it was seamless both at the ceremony and the reception. He turned up early, was smartly presented and captured all our guests throughout the day having visited the venues in advance. James provided us with images just a couple of weeks after returning from honeymoon, all edited and fantastically presented as a chronicle of the day, with plenty of iconic shots and some lovely surprises, both in black and white and colour. As an added bonus, James also provided us with some videography, which was unexpected. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough. James & Alice.
