James is a professional performer based in Manchester. He travels across the UK playing for weddings, civil ceremonies and corporate functions as a saxophonist and pianist, but has also played in clubs alongside DJs, and in drum and brass group Flat Cap Brass.
He has extensive professional performance experience in playing for weddings and civil ceremonies across the North of England. He started doing so whilst studying for a degree in Music at the University of Durham and continued to do so after relocating to Manchester in 2010.
James specialises in choosing music to fit your special day and requirements, and prides himself on the level of communication before the event to ensure that your day runs perfectly. As a composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, he plays using backing tracks created and sourced especially for the occasion. James plays a broad selection of favourites, from jazz standards to pop and is happy to learn two songs on request free of charge, and further at a small additional fee.
Q: How long does setup take?A: I can fit around your day! I can be in and playing within around 15 minutes if needed! Q: What are your space and power requirements?A: All I need is an extension lead with two available sockets, and enough space for me to stand! Q: Do you take requests?A: I'm happy to learn a few songs for you - I offer two free requests, and additional requests at a fee of £20 per song learnt. However - please ask first; it's possible I can already play it!
