Katie O’Malley is a Rochdale girl who's raw emotion to her voice fills a venue, her influences clearly shine through and include the likes of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. She began gigging at 17 and became a regular favourite on the Manchester music scene. After releasing her single "Beg" she has supported Kal Lavelle and shared a bill with Reverend and the Makers she has just released her debut E.P named Dawn Chorus.

A familiar face on the Manchester music scene their music comes across as a intriguing cocktail of First Aid Kit crossed with The Black Keys with a husky yet powerful vocal sprinkled on top. Katie and the band have recently released their second E.P “Never Be The Same” "Katie's singing reminds me of some of the best woman vocalists of the 70's folk rock movement, hints of stevie nicks and linda thompson." - The Modern Folk music of America "she squeezes every last drop of emotion out of the words she's singing.
