Hello, I’m Keziah, a jazz singer from the beautiful coastal city of Brighton. My passion lies in bringing the timeless classics of the Sinatra era back to life. I find immense joy and comfort in the romantic and warm melodies of legends like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. Their music has always resonated deeply with me, inspiring me to share these beloved songs with others. From a young age, I was captivated by the elegance and charm of these iconic artists. Their music provided a sense of nostalgia and comfort that I wanted to pass on. My performances are a heartfelt tribute to these legends, and I strive to create an emotional connection with my audience, transporting them to a bygone era of sophistication and romance. One of my greatest joys is seeing the smiles on people’s faces as they hear songs they never thought they would experience live again. I have a deep love for vintage clothes and stylings, which is reflected in my stage presence. I adore wearing retro dresses, elegant gloves, and chic hats that complement the timeless quality of the music I perform. This vintage flair not only enhances my performances but also allows me to fully immerse myself in the spirit of the era I so admire. Brighton has been a wonderful place to nurture my passion for jazz. The local music scene is vibrant and supportive, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of it. In October 2024, I had the privilege of performing at a local Beer and Music Festival, which was an incredible experience. Additionally, I performed at two private parties for Halloween and Bonfire Night in 2024. These events were highlights of my year, and I thoroughly enjoyed bringing joy to those celebrations. My journey as a jazz singer is driven by a desire to preserve the rich legacy of the Sinatra era. Through my performances, I aim to keep the spirit of classic jazz alive and ensure these beautiful songs continue to resonate with new generations of listeners. It’s a privilege to be able to share this music, and I am grateful for every opportunity to perform and connect with my audience. I thoroughly look forward to working for you and hope my renditions of these timeless classics bring you as much joy and comfort as they have brought me!

What to expect

My clients often tell me that they love how I transport them to a different era whilst performing. They appreciate the passion I bring to the music, making them feel the emotions behind each note. I strive to create an intimate and engaging atmosphere, making every listener feel like they're part of something special. Let me take all stress away from you between my sets by preparing playlists so that there are no unintentional silences and the atmosphere continues seamlessly. I can facilitate this between my sets at no extra cost!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I can completely understand that sometimes plans change! Please let me know if there have been any timing changes as soon as possible so that I can accommodate this and try my best to ensure my performance runs smoothly.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Frank Sinatra is my favourite musician as I love all his covers. I spend a lot of time listening to different versions of songs and drawing influence from them, making it hard to pinpoint who has influenced me the most: Nat King Cole's amazingly smooth tone, Judy Garland's gorgeous diction, Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong's upbeat renditions!

Q: How long does setup take? A: I require a minimum of 30 minutes set up time for small events, and 1 hour for larger events.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: I don't require a huge amount of space as it is just me and my microphone however I will require shade (if performing outside for a prolonged period) and access to power to get the sound system running.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Of course! My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time however, you know your event better than anyone so I would love to hear your opinions. During one of your free consultations, we can work together to create the perfect set list for your event!
