- La Dolce Vita Swing Collective bring back to life music from a bygone era that will have your guests singing and their hearts a dancing!! - Making full use of the singers Italian heritage, the band include a number of the Italian/American melodies of Dean Martin into the set - La Dolce Vita Swing Collective are a popular five-piece swing/jazz band - featuring piano, bass, sax, drums and vocals - who swing their way through the timeless classics of the Rat Pack and Friends songbook, reliving the best of what the golden age of Las Vegas had to offer. - La Dolce Vita Swing Collective carry 3 stage show styles - Standard Show - Valentines Show - Cool Yule Christmas Show - Previous experience of the various band members range from creating musical arrangement for West End musicals (Really Useful Group), performing in West End musicals, playing in the BBC Big Band, performing with Jools Holland, Director of Edinburgh School of Music, Director of an Arts Festival to teaching music and percussion for high school pupils as well as acting, directing and writing for theatrical productions.

What to expect

Primarily using their own arrangements, La Dolce Vita Swing Collective tip their hats and celebrate the music of the greats – Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin but as well as swinging their way through the standards, the band also give a swing jazz twist to songs make famous by the likes of - Sam Cooke, The Beatles, Jersey Boys & Michael Jackson!!! As well as this they also throw in a few classic Italian pop songs with a La Dolce Vita swing jazz feel. The band are a professional and experienced unit who will gladly work around your requirements and who will bring an air of fun to any event!!

Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: The space required for the band to perform is roughly 6 m x 4 m. We require 4 power points - 2 on each side of the playing area
Q: Do you take requests? A: We only take requests if we have the written music with us at the time of the event. However, we can take requests if discussed at time of booking!!
