1920s & 30s styled trio playing well known and danceable blues, swing and skiffle

We're a 1920s & 30s styled blues, swing and ragtime trio. A compact way to get the sound of the 1920s & 30s to your event with all PA & lighting provided. We use authentic instruments from the era to look and sound exactly right. Between the drums, washboard, kazoo's, resonator guitar, double bass and a 1940s electric guitar we can play the sounds of 1920s New Orleans jazz through to 1940s Rhythm & Blues. As a profesional full time band we play over 100 shows a year including 40+ weddings a year and always get people dancing and bring a unique experience to any event. Our set is 100% proven well known songs from the era. Also bookable for background events but this is pretty rare as the band set up for getting folks dancing we have done this and can tailor the way we play and set to suit a more laid back atmosphere.

What to expect

We bring a nice stage set up with authentic instruments like 1930s drums, guitars and washboards to gigs. When lit by the stage lighting the setup always gets admiring comments. The idea is to sweep through 1920s - 1940s music so we swap instruments as the show goes on. The makes us both danceable but also entertaining to watch as the band sound and dynamic changes. i.e; all three members sing and have different voices that suit different material. We play songs like; I've Got Rhythm, Sweet Home Chicago, It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing, Shake Rattle & Roll and King of The Swingers form Jungle Book that everyone knows and get a dance floor full.
