May Blossom can be found at 1940s events across the UK performing her unique and extensive range of remembrance, singalong and dance numbers.

May Blossom, Vintage Songbird is one of the loveliest and hard working entertainers on the vintage circuit. I regularly sing for several hours at gigs. My events are mainly 1940s singalong, remembrance and dance events. I Lindy Hop, and regularly jump off the stage to dance or teach a dance. Outfits include authentic 1940s uniforms and tea dresses. I have lots of songs for care home settings and love this work. Other eras include the 1950s and the 1920s including full peaky blinder blinder parties (with some post-modern jukebox style songs, irish jigs etc thrown in for good measure). And of course I love a wedding and have a large range of wedding-suitable songs, including a sprinkling of classical numbers.

What to expect

The unexpected! Singalong, dance or remembrance numbers depending on your requirements, I dont usually stick to a set play list, I prefer to go with the audience and what they want. My repertoire includes Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields, of course, but also less well known singers like Ann Shelton, and I am just as likely to break into some Frank Sinatra, Louis Jordan or even Louis Prima. Long sets are not a problem for me.

Q: How long does setup take? A: 30 minutes.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: I dont take up a great deal of space. However, I can bring sandbags, flags and other adornments for where I can spread out a bit. I can use my smaller battery-operated PA for ultimate flexibility including in gardens and for queues or to move around. Or I can bring wired speakers and a mixing desk where greater sound is needed.
Q: Do you take requests? A: By all means ask me for requests on the day, but to guarantee a favourite song just ask me in advance!
