I specialise in New Orleans-style traditional jazz piano and vocals c.1920 including hits by Scot Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller & Dr. John.

I specialise in New Orleans-style traditional jazz from around the turn of the century till about 1930 including hits by Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller. This music is old, fun and always feel-good. My repertoire also includes; - Ragtime classics by the great Scott Joplin. - Rhumbas and Boogie Woogies by the likes of Professor Longhair and Dr. John. - Blues and Gospel in the style of James Booker and Allen Toussiant.

What to expect

Where there is an in-house piano I can simply provide a small but adequate PA system to project the vocals and, if needed, amplify the paino slightly. Where there isn't a piano, I provide my own lightweight, portable acoustice piano(Keybird X1) along with the PA. I can provide non-stop(with short break if longer than 90 mins) background piano and vocal music for any occasion, all with an old-sgchool 1920s New Orleans traditional jazz feel and vibe.

Q: How long does setup take? A: Not long, 30 mins max. Even shorter if there is an in-house piano provided.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: One power outlet, roughly 2m by 2m but can squeeze a bit if neccesary.
Q: Do you take requests? A: I can prepare a few requests ahead of time and I'm happy to play any requests recieved on the day if its within my repetoire.
