My name is Sarah, I'm a highly qualified singer, and have a massively varied portfolio of performance experience. I perform a full range of styles at intimate events like singing beside a table in a restaurant, through to singing with choir and orchestra before 10,000 people. I organise wedding ceremony and pre dinner reception music, memorial services, corporate events, recitals, opera galas, choral society concerts, care home concerts, oratorios, music workshops for babies to 5 years old, basically everything! I extensively trained at the RNCM, National Opera Studio London, Soriano nel Cimino Italy and Queen's University of Belfast. I enjoy singing all styles, with Wil-i-am remarking "you're the songbird I was waiting for" on BBC's The Voice. I have a roster of professional musicians that I use at events when requested, most commonly piano, organ and string quartet. I have my own keyboard and fully professional sound system which is provide for free if needed.
Packages with any instrument are available, such as piano, organ, string quartet or harp. If you prefer I can perform with the chapel/church pianist or someone you know. At hotel and registry office weddings, I can perform using backing tracks with my own professional sound system.
There are many suitable opportunities for special songs at all services including: walking down the aisle, during the signing of the register and recessing. Wedding masses can also have parts of the mass sung and songs during communion. If your guests aren't the singing sort, having a professional singer lead the hymns can be a nice touch. If there is a song you'd like that isn't in my repertoire just let me know, I will learn it.
While the bridal party are getting photographs taken and guests are waiting for dinner, I can perform a 90 minute varied set to keep the atmosphere going. Designed as background music or an informal concert depending on your preference, this will add a touch of class to your big day. I can provide a song list and you are free to make requests at no additional charge.
Q: How long does setup take?A: Typically it takes me 30 minutes to set up but this depends on the event. I usually like to arrive quite early to get a feel for acoustics if it's a venue new to me. Q: What are your space and power requirements?A: I bring all my own sound equipment if required. Generally I need access to a plug for my extension cable. I should have enough space to sit and stand comfortably. Gigs with string quartet requires access to 4 seats. Q: Do you take requests?A: Of course! If sufficient notice is given I am happy to learn anything you like. Please remember music must be approved by the priest/minister for religious wedding ceremonies.
