After Dinner Speeches are a great way to entertain your guests and round off memorable gatherings of colleagues and friends, Nick 'gets it' and will provide you with a night to remember, even if your guests may recall little else the next day! Book Nick and he will take you on a journey through his life in the Royal Air Force and Air Traffic Control, some good times in exotic locations and other more challenging environments; all with his tongue firmly in cheek! What to expect

I will attend your event and provide an after-dinner speech 'Big Sky Theory'. An entertaining sideways look at Air Traffic Control in the UK and my life as an air traffic controller in the RAF and civil airports.

Who is Nick Clyburn?

Nick Clyburn is a former Air Traffic Controller with over 40 years of experience in both military and civilian air traffic control. During his highly-successful career, Nick rose through the ranks before working as a senior consultant in the air traffic control industry and then as a civilian air traffic controller and manager. Born in Devon, he left to join the Royal Air Force at sixteen as a young ‘Cold War Warrior’. His Royal Air Force career took him all over the world. He controlled in some of the busiest airspaces and control centres in the world and then facilitated strategic thinking and policies to keep them safe. Nick entertains audiences with his after-dinner speeches about Air Traffic Control and life in the Royal Air Force.

Q: How long does setup take? A: 20 mins if using my own PA.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Standard mains socket to support PA. If providing my own PA, I will use a wireless mic from the table or move around within 10 metres range of the receiving unit.
Q: Do you take requests? A: I provide a choice of 2 speeches that can be modelled to your requirements. Let's chat beforehand!
