On The Ceiling are an exhilarating 5 piece party band specialising in weddings, functions and major events. Their eclectic repertoire covers everything from 50’s Rock & Roll through Motown, Funk, Disco and right the way up to the latest chart hits, guaranteeing a good time for everyone no matter what their musical tastes. Send your guests home with a smile on their face, a tune stuck in their head and blisters on their feet!
Over the past 12 years On The Ceiling have been thrilling audiences all over the UK at countless wedding receptions, parties and festivals. They are proud to have performed at such illustrious venues as the N.E.C (Birmingham) and the Royal Albert Hall and they continue to be one of the most in demand live function bands around.
The group combine a first-class, made to measure service with highly competitive prices.
The band are available to play anywhere in the United Kingdom and are fully self-contained, providing a top of the range PA system as well as professional lighting for the stage area and dance floor.
On The Ceiling pride themselves on their versatility. Their electrifying performance is entirely live, with no need for backing tracks, since the musicians are all multi-instrumentalists.
As a 5-piece band, they are able to set up in most venues without compromise and guarantee to wow your guests, whatever the occasion. Whether it’s a wedding, Christmas party or corporate function, On The Ceiling will help to bring your event to life and make sure it’s remembered for a long time to come.
The band are all highly experienced professional musicians, having worked with a variety of different groups and covered every style of music imaginable, experience they bring to bear fully in On The Ceiling moving seamlessly through styles and musical epochs, equally at home in 1960’s Liverpool or 2018 Los Angeles.
The extensive repertoire includes 1950s rock & roll, motown, disco, funk, pop and rock classics from the 60s right through to the present day, and even the odd power ballad. They are always adding new material and would be more than happy to provide a personal touch by accommodating any special requests you may have (with a little notice!) for your first dance, birthday no. 1 or favourite song.
To keep the party swinging during breaks, the band can provide a full live DJ, **Now included free of charge** or if you prefer, they will be happy to play background music from an iPod or other music player.
For the full musical experience, On The Ceiling can also provide a solo pianist, saxophonist, jazz group or an acoustic duo to play during the day.
Q: How long does setup take?
A: Set up time is around an hour, but we like to leave an hour and a half to make sure everything is perfect. We will normally arrive two hours before our scheduled start time but are more than happy to set up early if required.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: As a guide, we would normally take up about 5 x 3 m of space, although when space is tight we can often squeeze into smaller venues. Just let us know at the time of booking so we can make sure we bring the most compact equipment. Where a stage is available the band will normally make use of it, but it is not required. Power wise, we can run the entire show from two separate 13A sockets. If providing a generator, the band's power consumption is aprox 6000w.
