Act Introduction

I’m Paul, and I play stripped-back, soulful acoustic tunes for your intimate gatherings, parties, or get-togethers.

I keep things simple and I travel light, just me and my guitar (plus a small p.a. of course) with no frills or fancy gizmos. You could say I’ve gone back to basics, but, to be honest, I never really left. I sing straight from the heart, more passionate than polished. My guitar and the songs do the talking, my music is more about connecting with people than 'impressing’ people. Think cheap and cheerful and proud of it. With an extensive repertoire spanning many genres and decades, I play loads of well-loved classics with some forgotten gems to keep your guests entertained and intrigued. And let’s not forget the nostalgia factor - as a child of the 80s I love a bit of synth-pop on acoustic guitar.

FAQ

Q: How long does setup take? A: It usually takes 20-30 minutes to set up. I have a compact rig and there's just me, so its not that complicated :)
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: As its just me and my guitar I can fit into a pretty small space! But I feel most comfortable in area of say 2m x3m.
Q: Do you take requests? A: I take two kinds of requests! Songs requested before the gig are my favourite as it gives me time to learn the song. But I also can do requests on the night as long as I know the song ( I use a tablet to guide in these cases) and its not too complex, like, Bohemian Rhapsody aint gonna happen :)
