Riviera Dogs are a 5 piece 80s party band hailing from Torbay 'The English Riviera' …no lycra, wigs or make up just faithful, respectful renditions of songs from the best decade in music!. Started as a side project in 2013 they soon found themselves in high demand and are now firmly established as the first choice for 80s nostalgia across the UK; the band is made up of professional musicians all with a wealth of experience and includes current touring members for Joss Stone & Bastille. Over the years they have headlined many music festivals and provided entertainment for numerous high profile corporate events with support slots for 80s legends Go West, ASWAD, Katrina & The Waves & Boney M along the way. With a high energy front man and a professional sound and light show Riviera Dogs promise you a 'feel good' night of big hits, movie tunes and forgotten gems all guaranteed to give you a night to remember!

What to expect

We play usually play two sets, 1 x 50 mins followed by a short break then 1 x 1 hour set Riviera Dogs are totally self contained with 5 band members and a 2 man tech team, our package includes: EV Deltamax 6kw PA system - with a dedicated sound engineer. Full lighting show with moving lights, lasers (venue permitting) haze, LED’s, blinders and a dedicated lighting engineer. This really delivers the ultimate wow factor with some of the best sound & lighting equipment on the market; all equipment is well maintained and kept to the highest standard so we are always looking smart and sounding great! We are happy to play music or playlist of your choice before, in between sets and whilst packing down after the performance. What sets you apart?

1, We believe it is important for you to see & hear what you are actually getting when you book a band this is why all our demo videos are recorded live at a gig with an audience, what you hear & what you see is what you get (venue permitting), there are no misleading overdubs or studio recordings, the audio was recorded straight from our mixing desk so you can book with confidence with no surprises on the day. 2, We are a band!....this may be a surprise for you to know but many function type bands rarely have a solid regular line up, we all love what we do and organise our diaries around Riviera Dogs wherever possible, we also have many great stand in players who cover for band members on occassion but this is rare and normally only due to unavoidable touring commitments. 3, All musicians and crew are full time professionals, the band is made up from Music Teachers, pro session players and includes current touring members of crew for both Joss Stone & Bastille. 4, We dont just work private gigs, we have a healthy contrasting diary of both private and regular public events; our public events tend to be ticketed gigs at arts centres, theatres & festivals around the country, people actually come and pay to see our show we dont play only to a captive audience. 5, Production!... Sadly production doesn't come cheap but we set out to provide the best value full self contained entertainment package we could. We invested heavily in pro sound equipment and a fantastic light show. Our rig can comfortably entertain up to 600 people.

Q: How long does setup take? A: We usually ask for 2 hours to get everything in place and checked
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Power The Band will ensure that our Equipment is in Good, Safe working order. We will require suitable power for our PA/Backline/Lights. This must come from a minimum of 4 x separate 13 Amp Plug sockets or 63 amp single preferred if possible, Not to be shared with anything. If being run from a generator/outside power supply, any adaptors/ convertors will need to be supplied to allow us to plug in standard UK Plugs or a 32 amp single phase connector. Generators must be capable of a 10KW draw Minimum. 63/32 amp supply. In the event we do not have enough power we will scale our Lighting accordingly to get the best show for the power available. The Band requires anywhere we operate to be safe and appropriate for performance. This includes the performance area being Solid, Dry, Level, Under Cover, and of minimum dimensions 5m x 4m
Q: Do you take requests? A: Yes we do, if the song isn't in our repertoire there would be an additional arrangement/rehearsal fee of £250 for this service.

Q: How long does setup take?

These guys get better every time I see them. Fantastic night at the Watermark in Ivybridge this evening. If you want to relive your youth in the 80’s and 90’s then look no further than these guys. A top band full of energy and one I would thoroughly recommend seeing if you get the chance 10/10
