Ruby & The Dukes are a professional London based Vintage band playing 40’s & 50’s RocknRoll, Blues, RnB, Rockabilly and Retro Swing. The band plays 40’s & 50’s classics by the likes of Ruth Brown, Varetta Dillard, Etta James, Wanda Jackson, LaVern Baker, Koko Taylor, Little Richard, Bill Haley to contemporary hits by Imelda May the Stray Cats and The Postmodern Jukebox. The band consists of the incredible vocal talents of Ruby an international star from Lithuania who not only performs the songs with the class and style of her idols but delivers them in a classic and soulful way. Originally formed in 2015 by Ex Mint Royale guitarist Chris Thorn, along with, Mac on Double Bass, Davide Marini on Drums, Neil Martin on Saxophone. Gretsch and Fender vintage guitars are used to capture the classic sound of the era. Ruby and The Dukes have consistently been performing in London and throughout the UK since 2015 entertaining everyone from private parties to stylish weddings vintage festivals and themed corporate events. They are also available to be seen regularly at one of their London Residencies. The look and sound of the band is authentic and is guaranteed to get people bopping strolling and jiving.

What to expect

Ruby and the Dukes play Vintage RocknRoll, Blues, Rockabilly 50's R&B and Retro Swing. The line-up is double bass, guitar, drums, vocals with additional saxophone. We deliver 40’s & 50’s classics by the likes of Ruth Brown, Varetta Dillard, Etta James, Wanda Jackson, Little Richard to contemporary hits by Imelda May and the Stray Cats. The style, sound and theme of the band is authentic for that era and will get people dancing
