Hello!
I’m Scarlett, a Bristol based harpist. However I’m far from your conventional classical musician.
I play a one of a kind hand painted electroacoustic harp, and specialise in adapting modern Pop music, Disney and Film Scores for weddings and events.
I aspire to make music that’s not only beautiful and calming, but can also be fun, upbeat and punchy. I don’t remember the last wedding I played where guests weren’t playing ‘guess that song’ and remarking ‘I can’t believe she’s playing that on the HARP!’ throughout the day.
As well as being able to play acoustically or with light amplification, for more of a party atmosphere (think wedding drinks reception or evening do) I’ll mix the harp with beats, fx pedals or my loop pedal to add more musical layers. Take a look at my videos page to see!
Having performed professionally since the age of 14, I now have over 10 years of happy clients and hundreds of weddings under my belt. Although generally speaking weddings are my main focus, I’ve also had the pleasure of performing at numerous corporate events, private parties, art galleries, care homes, ships, interactive theatre shows, circus shows, spooky halloween events, anniversaries, on top of the flying trapeze rig at Glastonbury festival, and I even organised a community tour of over 100 streets in Bristol during the Covid-19 lockdown.
I am flexible and adaptable and I work hard because I genuinely care. No matter what event your organising, I would to hear from you and discuss how my music could be involved.
Much love,
Scarlett
With my repertoire ranging from Pachelbels Canon to Jurassic Park, and Led Zeppelin to Ed Sheeran and even Aladdin your guests will be entertained all day playing 'guess that tune'.
The harp is the perfect instrument to create the soundtrack for your special day. It not only sounds like it's been pulled out of a fairytale, but it also looks stunning, being the perfect visual addition to any space. My harp is electro-acoustic, so along with my battery operated amp I can ensure the music is still heard over everyone excitedly catching up.
Party like it’s 2019 right?
This often means starting off the day with acoustic or lightly amplified solo harp to create an intimate romantic atmosphere as guests arrive and take their seats for the ceremony. Then, once the reception kicks off I’ll start mixing in some beats, live looping and fx pedals to create a more fun, upbeat party atmosphere that carries you through to the evening.
Q: How long does setup take?A: It normally takes me about 15 minutes to set everything up and tune but I like to arrive about 45 minutes before I'm due to start (or an hour for a new venue) just to ensure everything will definitely be ready on time with no rush. Q: What are your space and power requirements?A: I can play acoustically, I can also play using my small battery operated amplifier anywhere flat/dry. For live looping/harp & FX I do need access to power.
Generally speaking about 1.8mx1.8m is a good amount of space. Q: Do you take requests?A: Absolutely - you're welcome to request things off my repertoire and my ceremony package also includes the option of two new song arrangements for anything you might like that's not on my list.

Scarlett played beautifully at our wedding at Arnos Vale Cemetery. I have always loved listening to the harp so it was wonderful to have her at our ceremony. She was very responsive and helpful via emails prior to the wedding and many guests commented on how lovely it was to listen to her play while waiting for me to arrive. I would highly recommend Scarlett.

Scarlett played at our wedding back in July and was absolutely incredible. We really wanted something a bit different from our drinks reception music, and although Scarlett’s existing repertoire was more than extensive enough, we asked her to also curate a few bespoke pieces for us based on a theme. Scarlett rose to the challenge and did more than we could ever have imagined, putting together whole original pieces as well as learning a couple more covers that we had requested. She kept us up to date with her progress and everyone loved her on the day - I still get asked if there’s a recording of one of the tracks she learnt for us. Scarlett, we cannot thank you enough and wish we could have our day all over again just to listen to your lovely playing!

Wow where do I even start. Scarlett was actually someone we booked a few months leading up to our wedding as our previous harpist cancelled. Things do really happen for a reason and we are so glad things worked out this way for Scarlett to play at our wedding. She is immensely talented and we have had non stop compliments regarding the songs she performed for us. She was so easy to get in contact with and from start to finish put us at ease. She went out of her way to make our day perfect and even sent recordings of certain songs over to us that she had learned specially for us. We will never be able to thank you Scarlett for making our wedding day so perfect. I highly recommend for any wedding or event. You will not be disappointed!!

Last week, Scarlett played beautifully at our wedding. I had always been a dream of mine to walk down the aisle whilst a harpist played in the background. Scarlett made that dream come true! She played throughout our wedding ceremony and many of our wedding guests continue to comment on how beautifully she played even now. I can’t thank Scarlett enough for adding an extra special touch to our day and would highly recommend her.

We just wanted to drop you a line to thank you again for yesterday. You were amazing! I lost count of the number of people who came up to me to say how great you were. Our niece/flower girl was particularly taken with you. Thank you so much for playing two Disney songs for her - it was incredibly kind and she is still talking about it today. She recreated the wedding with her dollies and even had you in it playing the harp. You definitely made a lasting impression.
Thank you so much for making our special
day that extra bit special. I would not hesitate to recommend you - you are brilliant!
