Dumfries’ Drag Duo, Sync N’ Sing, is made up of Devine Tension and Madame Jo. Devine Tension started her Drag career at the young age of 19. Devine Tension is responsible for creating Dumfries’ modern drag scene and has played a pivotal role in introducing some of the biggest events in D&G. Working with Drag Artists such as Vanity Millan, River Medway and Crystal. Devine Tension is one hell of performer, lip syncing some jaw dropping songs with killer choreography. Madame Jo is Dumfries’ Burly Bearded Beauty. Jo started her drag career in 2021 after practicing Drag during the Lockdown. Madame Jo is a singer and has belting out tunes since they were a young child. Before starting drag, Jo would perform acoustic sets and performed in pantomimes. Jo prides herself in nurturing the next generation of Queer performers in Dumfries and Galloway.

What have Sync ‘n’ Sing done before?

With a wealth of experience as working drag artists, Madame Jo and Devine have performed at and produced a large number of events in Dumfries and Galloway and across the UK. Devine Tension, the Director of Devine Tension Presents Ltd. has produced the biggest events to have ever happened in Dumfries. This includes Club Queer which has seen the likes of, Crystal, River Medway, and Vanity Milan headline Devine’s shows. She is also the producer of Steamin’ which takes place on the first Friday of every month. Despite Madame Jo’s short time in the industry, Jo has made waves in the Dumfries drag scene in short order. Madame Jo produces a show called N’Dulge N’Drag which focuses on local Drag artists looking to make an impact on their community. Madame Jo is also the Creative Director and founder of The Hoose. The Hoose is a platform for LGBTQIA+ artists to get a start in their career and spotlight their talents.
