Ginger Bennett: Vocals Originally from Lewisham South-East London Ginger has been living and performing as a singer on the Kent Coast since 2003. Following a successful sporting career, she returned to her first passion music and is most often seen performing with a wonderful selection of professional musicians ranging from Duo, and trio and four piece options for more intimate or background music right up to six-piece funk and soul with Project F or guest appearances with the fabulous 9 piece KD Jazz Orchestra. Known for her legendary command of a room. Ask Ginger to perform at your wedding breakfast whilst your guests gather and chit chat, your wedding service for your favourite songs as your guest arrive and register signing right up to your corporate cabaret event to engage and entertain your guests. Ginger is a regular performer at Margate Jazz and Soul Festivals and at the Canterbury Festival.

What to expect

Ginger is known for an intimate style of performance that often involves spirited audience participation and lots of laughs. Bennett curates a delicious smorgasbord of songs from Carol King, Anita Baker and Gregory Porter as well a wonderful selection of upswing jazz standards, ballads and a few very well placed originals. Always wonderfully turned out with a 'good shoe' Ginger is also great at reading the room, happy to sit back and provide the backdrop to your special day or step up and get the room jiggling and giggling as the occasion demands. Q: How long does setup take? A: You should allow 1.5 hours.. Most set ups take about 45 minutes
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Please provide enough space for the number of players but more importantly ensure the space is clean and level. Please run power, at least one double socket to the playing area.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Yes we do.. If its in the Real book we can play it. But trust us to curate the music for your event. Our experience means we will read the room and get the balance right adding hints of soul and jazzed modern songs if needed so there is something for everyone
