String quartet, ready to play whatever music you want.

After a long career as a molecular biologist in Cambridge, Molly Craxton launched The Craxton String Quartet in 2018, in order to spread joy with music. Molly will team up with other players to provide you with a song list of your choice or background music in the genres of your choice. All performances are bespoke.

What to expect

The string quartet ensemble is acoustic only. String quartet presentation will normally be a mixed sex group of mature professionals in formal black attire. We bring our own chairs and lighting and only need the requisite space in which to play. Our prices reflect start to finish times on site.

FAQ

Q: How long does setup take? A: This depends on access to the performance space and access to storage space. I/we will arrive one hour before performance start in order to ensure all is ready. I provide all equipment including chairs.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Space: approximately 1.3 square metres per person. Power is not required.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Yes, indeed, please specify your specific song choices or preferred music genres.

Q: How long does setup take?

From the moment we got in contact with Molly we knew we had made the right choice. Molly was very easy to communicate with, very professional and nothing was too much to ask for. Molly enthusiasm for what she does shines through. When it came to our wedding day Molly turned up early and played the songs we requested beautifully. We never had to worry about what Molly was doing on the day, and she played such an important part on our special day and made us very happy. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting Mollys playing. The list of songs that we chose where so recognisable to the originals and oozed class. We highly recommend choosing Molly! We will certainly recommend her to all.
