The Derbyshire Piper is an authentic Celtic bagpiper presenting in 3 Kilt styles
1 Rugged Highland kilt style for more informal settings
2 Highland kilt formal dress style with bow tie
3 Grade 1 Military kilt style for special occasions and honour parades
Playing a range of bagpipe tunes from Scottish, Welsh ballads to popular songs and traditional tunes.
Can play as a solo bagpiper or with backing tracks via a portable PA system to give a full rich 'band' style sound and can also arrange a full military pipes and drum. band if required or likewise a guitar and drum accompaniment.
I have played at numerous Weddings, Birthdays, Funerals, Burns nights, Masonic Events and corporate events and can also sing and play sax and clarinet and can also discuss one of my party band line ups if that is of interest.
I am very flexible in terms of discussing your requirements and will be at your venue well in advance to be set up ready.
I will present in the kilt style that suits your event
Music choice is via joint discussion to ensure you have the tunes played that you would want.
Once the booking is confirmed, I am committed to your event and even if that means only a small amount of playing, then perhaps a long wait etc, that doesn't matter to me as long as you are delighted with the service I provide.
I can also provide a full military pipe and drum band if that is a consideration.
Or can provide a guitar and drum accompaniment
Q: How long does setup take?A: 30 mins or less since I need to ensure the bagpipes are tuned in and 'warmed up' Q: What are your space and power requirements?A: None - will literally be me with my bagpipes or if backing tracks are required, then this is via a battery powered PA system Q: Do you take requests?A: Yes I do, as long as I know in advance in order to ensure I an comfortable with the tune and have a run in time to practice it. (eg at least one week)
