The K C Company is a coming together of two of the musical talents from the very successful rock and pop covers band, The Lightning. Carl has been performing in bands for over 30 years and he has performed the length and breadth of the UK in many groups, but most notably as one half of the very successful TimeWarp duo who performed together for over 10 years. Kaz has been singing in bands for over 10 years, including 6 years with the Lightning, performing extensively throughout the UK and has regularly enthralled and entertained audiences at many venues in the UK and Munich, Germany. Following some joint recording ventures, Kaz and Carl have decided to join forces and embark on a new musical journey by bringing their wealth of musical experience together to create The K C Company.

What to expect

The KC Company show is comprised of both male & female lead and live backing vocals as well as live electric guitar, which is all supported by professionally produced backing tracks customised for our show. We are a lively, fun, professional and friendly duo who , as well as performing for more formal functions, are also very happy to engage with our audiences in an informal way and encourage audience participation throughout our performance. For special occasions like birthday parties or weddings we are also happy to have members of our audience singing with the band on stage. (Please let us know in advance which song it is) We perform a great variety of popular songs right from the 1960's up to current chart material. FAQ

Q: How long does setup take? A: In general it takes about one hour to set up, however in some instances this can be affected by factors such as access to and distance from loading areas. We will also require around 15 minutes to undertake a sound check at performance volume, so please take this into consideration. We will work with you ensure minimal disruption to you, your venue and your guests.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: * How Much Space Do you Require? Ideally a space of around 4 metres wide and 3 metres deep, however we will adjust to accommodate where necessary. * What Are the Band’s Power Requirements? The KC Company is fully self-contained with our own sound and lighting equipment. We are also happy to work with venues that have their own PA installations. If using our own PA we require at least 2 independent 13 amp sockets preferably situated on either side of the performance area.
Q: Do you take requests? A: We often get requests for songs or music from particular bands and, like most bands, we will have usually have planned our Set list a few weeks in advance depending on what our client has asked for. However, we have a wide repertoire of songs and may be able to offer an alternative on the night OR if there is a special song you would like us to perform please let us know about your song in advance. We may be able to add it to our set list for your event or if that's not possible for any reason we will discuss with you other options such as playing the original recorded version. We don't provide a DJ service but we are able to play music in between sets from MP3 players. Just contact us to discuss your requirements.
