Act Introduction

We are Lazy Marmalade, a unique wedding and function band based in Shropshire. Consisting of 2 best friends we deliver our own up-beat acoustic twist on some of the biggest hits from the last few decades! Lazy Marmalade was born at the beginning of 2017 but Alex and Jon have been performing together in various bands at weddings, engagement parties, corporate parties, birthdays, BBQ's, children's parties, pubs, clubs and well known music venues for over 10 years. Being a duo the band offer something completely unique to your usual wedding band. Delivering the same floor fillers but with a huge acoustic sound that is like having a 4 piece band perform. You can be certain everyone from grandchildren to grandparents will be moving their lips and shaking their hips.

What to expect

We are a 5* rated wedding and function duo with a twist. With our unique setup of male vocals, acoustic guitars and foot percussion as well as first class equipment, we provide a Huge 4 piece band like sound to bring the party to your event whilst keeping the flexibility of a duo. With a variety of packages from ceremony to evening, including Professional DJ sets we can take care of your entire days musical entertainment. We also pride ourselves on providing a professional, friendly service from booking and believe our customer relations are second to none!

FAQ

Q: How long does setup take? A: We take an hour and a half to set up and sound check. Lift's or stairs may increase load in time. If your wedding is running late, we will still need the allotted time to set up but will of course try our best to do this as quickly as we can.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: We require at least 2 independent 13 amp sockets. If your marquee company has requested details, please advise that our PA system and lighting use approximately 2.5kw and a single 16amp power supply is not sufficient.
Q: Do you take requests? A: If you wish to select every song from our song list for us to play we are unable to accommodate this. We do require flexibility in what we play live. We are more than happy for you to provide a list of DJ songs to work into our DJ sets and also select 3-4 songs from our song list to be included.
