The Major Fifths are a five piece party band who play faithful renditions of your favourite pop songs, from the 80's to present day.

The Major Fifths is made up of professional musicians with a verity of musical backgrounds. This includes both classical and contemporary, and this comes together for a disciplined, professional band. All members have a degree in music, which demonstrates their commitment to being a professional body that won't disappoint. They play covers of upbeat pop music mostly ranging from the 80s to present day. Formed in Brighton, this female fronted ensemble consists of experienced musicians who play with conviction. Our carefully put together sets can include modern songs from artists such as Beyonce, Adele, Maroon 5 and the Weeknd, 80s classics from the likes of Michael Jackson, Duran Duran and Whitney Houston, as well as a few 90s/2000s dancefloor fillers. Alongside the band, most members also teach music to share their passion and skills and inspire young musicians. They all have plenty of experience performing with various types of bands including original and tribute acts. Clients who work with this band can relax as their important event is in safe hands.

What to expect

Every event is different and we would work with you to tailor our package to your needs. As standard all events can expect: - Professional service start to finish - Energetic and lively performance - Self contained band (we have everything we need for the event, including PA and Lights) - Can provide music between sets if needed - First Dance Request, or a special request for you if it is not already in our repertoire. (Please ensure you let us know in advance) - Can plug your media device (iPod, phone, laptop) into our system if there is anything you want playing We also have PLI and all our equipment is PAT tested.

Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: A floor space around 15' x 20' (or 5m x 6m) As many outlets as possible, but at a minimum: 2 double outlets supplying 13 amps
Q: Do you take requests? A: First dance, or equivalent for your event, but this will be needs to be discussed in advance. We take requests as long as it's on the repertoire (we will already have set lists written in advance, if there are particular songs you want included from this list, just let us know)

What an amazing band, it was so pleasant to have a live band covering the classics and new chart hits. The variety of songs was a big hit. They interacted with all our customers and got the whole crowd up on their feet dancing and singing along. I have to compliment them on how professional they were and how good the set was. I have some good pictures and videos of the evening. Huge success all round for us and the band.

Very professional and confident band, couldn't believe how great they were. Everyone loved them. Carrie sang our first dance song so beautifully. All of our guests were very impressed with their sound and professionalism.
