We're a small but perfectly-formed band from York, Yorkshire.

If you're looking for a great live band for your event, we're here to help. There are a lot of bands who will tell you that they are the number one party band in the country; others will tell you about the big name bands they played with once; and some will even tell you how much they have spent on their equipment. We don’t do any of that. It’s your party. It’s all about you. We have over 10 years experience of performing together at weddings, parties and corporate events, and we bring that expertise and knowledge to every occasion. We have played every type of venue from marquees to castles, and hotels to village halls. As a four-piece band we are extremely flexible and we can cater for small and intimate events right up to those for several hundred people. We don't believe size matters - it's what you do with it that counts!

What to expect

- Someone to talk to. You will have a specific point of contact with the band available 7 days a week. - Up to two hours of live music. We will keep your guest dancing all night. - Background music & 'iPad DJ'. We can provide pre-prepared playlists to keep the party going. Alternatively, you can bring your own device and play your favourite music - you can even share your Spotify playlists with us. - Venue liaison. We will talk to your venue or planner to sort out all the practicalities of our performance, so you don't have to. - 6pm arrival/set up and midnight finish/load out.

FAQ

Q: How long does setup take? A: We usually take around 60 minutes to set up if we're using our own PA and lights.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: Ideally we need a space 5x3m, but we're flexible! Other than that we just require a couple of domestic power sockets.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Unfortunately not. We do know a LOT of songs though. Check out our set list!

Q: How long does setup take?

We booked The Players after seeing them at our friend's wedding last year. Really lovely people, great musicians, great voice! All the guests thoroughly enjoyed the band. Good mix of music for all ages but without all the typical cheesy wedding songs (which was a must for us!) They did a fantastic version of 'just like heaven' by The Cure for our first dance - we loved it! Thanks for helping to make our day so special
