The Retrobeats are a 4 piece live band based in the North West of England. Formed in 2007, we have a reputation as a versatile and entertaining band featuring both male & female vocals and harmonies. Performing a very varied repertoire of big hits, songs you've probably forgotten, one hit wonders and quite possibly songs you wouldn't expect, we can tailor our songs to suit your event. We have extensive experience of performing at a wide variety of functions... weddings, private parties, festivals, corporate events, social clubs, theme nights etc. - anywhere that requires great music - performed live!

What to expect

We are a 4 piece live band playing pop and rock 'n' roll hits primarily from the late 1950s through to the mid 1970s with a bit of country and contemporary numbers thrown in too. Featuring both male and female lead vocals with a lively stage presentation, full dance floors are a testimony to our performances. Our music covers a wide range of artistes... from Elvis Presley to The Beatles, Connie Francis to Dusty Springfield, The Drifters to Manfred Mann, Leo Sayer to Showaddywaddy and a host of one hit wonders too, we have a large repertoire of great songs from a golden era of popular music. We can tailor our set lists to specific eras / genres, if desired. We are a self contained band with compact high performance equipment, including lighting, if required. We are public liability insured and all our equipment is PAT tested. We never use backing tracks and all the music is performed by ourselves at a comfortable volume to suit the venue and occasion. We endeavour to be as flexible and accommodating as possible to ensure your event is a success. We also offer an additional disco service at an extremely reasonable price. Using our high quality PA system we can provide music mixes as background to the evening's proceedings, music during breaks between our performances and then a lively disco playing songs from all eras and for all ages to round the night off. With this service, you can relax, confident that all the entertainment for the evening is taken care of. We can theme the music or play a wide range of varying styles. If you want specific songs we just ask for some notice before the event. We have sourced some very obscure tracks for clients in the past!

Q: How long does setup take? A: We are usually loaded in, setup and soundchecked within an hour
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: The ideal size is 6m by 4m or larger but we can fit into a smaller space if required. One plug socket on the stage or performance area. If the nearest power supply is more than 5m away, please let us know in advance so we can bring suitable extension leads and safety equipment. We draw about 10 amps which is well within the capacity of a standard power supply. All our equipment is safety checked with the appropriate Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certificates and we use an RCCB safety trip device to prevent overloads.
