The Surfin’ Llamas is a band playing the best music from the last five decades.
The line-up includes sax, keyboards, guitar, drums and bass creating a full sound experience.
Music genres include soul, funk, Motown, pop, reggae and ska. The band members all enjoy their performances and are always fun to watch.
We have a full PA system and lighting system which we can adapt for smaller pub type venues to large marquees or outdoor venues.
Our packages include a sound and lighting engineer to enhance the full show experience.
The band are pleased to play events from pub gigs, to corporate events such as the F1 grand prix at Silverstone Woodlands which we are playing again in 2019 following last year's show.

The band will setup the drums (on a riser if space permits) the back line amplifiers, sound and lighting systems at a mutually arranged time.
Once setup, a sound check which consists of setting up each drum, instrument and microphone has it's own input on our professional 32 channel PA system, followed by the band playing a song or two to set volume levels and configuring the moving head lighting systems.
Once setup, we can play our background music (or your own if you provide it) until the agreed start time. Our first set is approximately 60 minutes. Following the first set the band usually have a break of 20 to 30 minutes and will then commence the second set which is also around 60 minutes.
If required, we can supply a radio mic for speeches.

Surfin Llamas
The first time I booked the Surfin Llamas was as a replacement band for an act that had cancelled on me last minute, not quite knowing what I was getting I made my way to the stage as the Llamas were playing and remained their for the whole of their set. Not only did they deliver a superb set of songs which captivated the audience, but there cheeky crowd interaction and ability to work a large stage had the audience asking for more. Since that chance encounter I have booked the Surfin Llamas on several occassions since and this year they will be headlining the main stage where they deserve to be. A joy to work with, watch and listen too !!

I've booked The Surfin' Llamas many times over the last two years and it is fair to say that they are on top of my list when planning an event. Guaranteed to please and always have audience participation wherever they play. We've had them performing in front of crowds of thousands at prestigious sporting events, audiences of 100 at the local pub and all events in between. Always punctual and reliable the band are consummate professionals always seeking to please. With no big egos, this very talented band will hit exactly the spot for most Weddings, Private Parties, Festivals, Event After Parties, Clubs and Pubs. Book them, you won't be disappointed.

Infectious Fun from the Llamas!
I first saw the Surfin' Llamas around Christmas time 2017 at a nearby village pub after they had been recommended to me by a friend. I went along with my partner, in slight trepidation of what to expect, only to see 5 Hawaiian shirted musicians pick up their instruments and just completely blow me away! Their infectious fun and banter with each other and notable members of the gathered crowd, together with the fast pace of their musical style, the clear fun they have with all things Llama, inc a rubber Llama fancy dress mask, is evidence of just how much fun they have and how well they gel together as a group of musicians.
I suppose it helps that I'm a big fan of Ska, Two Tone, Reggae, Rocksteady etc and their Ska(ish) style is fantastic to dance to, even other genres and tunes (such as I Wanna Be Like You from Jungle Book!) given a bit of a Ska style treatment. Their style and playing is so infectious and I challenge anyone not to be stomping their feet and jumping around like an idiot within 5 minutes of them starting to play! Friendly and approachable, you'll not regret engaging these guys for your event. They really do make a party something to remember!

I had seen this band a few times before
hiring them for my mother in laws 80th birthday party. I knew that they were well talented and played a variety of music that would span the generations that tend to go to such Do"s. The Llamas don't dissapoint. My Mum in Laws suspicion of my "leave the band hiring to me" soon faded. By the end of the first number every in the room was hooked. Proper entertainers they engaged well with the wide age range and the place was jumping. Even folks who weren't invited somehow appeared and joined in. I have seen them since at other gigs and the story is always the same. Well talented. Well funny. Well entertaining. Very professional and know how to engage an audience rather than crank out a set looking bored like some bands I've seen. Hire them or go out of your way to see them. Excellent fun.
