A string quartet can be an ideal accompaniment to both civil and religious ceremonies.

The Ulster String Quartet is an experienced, Northern Ireland-based ensemble that combines the talents of four young professional musicians. The quartet performs regularly throughout the Northern Ireland at events ranging from weddings, drinks receptions and parties to formal dinners, corporate functions and conferences. In addition, they have performed at a large number of private events in some of the region's premier function venues.

What to expect

Wedding Ceremony Music A string quartet can be an ideal accompaniment to both civil and religious ceremonies. Music fulfils an essential role at several key points in the ceremony, and members of The Ulster String Quartet are always available to discuss the ways in which we can make the music for each such occasion as enjoyable, personal and memorable as possible. For church ceremonies, an organist often accompanies the hymns, but we will gladly undertake this role if required. Sample repertoire suggestions for each stage of your ceremony: -As the guests arrive and take their seats -A selection of light classical music (Mozart quartets, for example) - For the entrance of the bride (Processional) - Handel's Arrival of the Queen of Sheba -Wagner's Bridal March from Lohengrin During the signing of the register -Pachelbel's Canon -Bach's Air on a G String -For the outgoing procession (Recessional) and departure of the guests -Hornpipe from Handel's Water Music -Mendelssohn's Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream
