Lineup
James McIvor Not to be mistaken for the other Macgyver from the 80's TV show this McIvor is the real deal. Powerful vocals and bags upon bags of energy are only the start of the things James can be described by. He loves to take his audience and make them feel part of the gig. Alternating between semi acoustic and electric during sets allows James to play a large mix of songs and styles ... but will always be wearing the same trademark glasses. Paul Bredin Hailing from the hills of Moville, Paul is the guy responsible for the pumping baselines in the band. He has a love for many types of music but the secret's out about his love for epic 80's cheese songs! Paul is a very calm and caring guy and is known for handing out hugs to people when least expected ... just ask him and he will never refuse. A passionate vocalist and indie rocker at heart, Paul is the backbone to the group. Stephen McDaid In the engine room driving the beats is Stephen. A lover of many styles of music from reggae and funk to rock and folk he has many years experience behind him having gigged with lots of bands throughout the years. When he is not busy growing facial hair he likes to go to other gigs and festivals. With his backing vocals together with the other two guys he completes the dynamic sound The Yetis produce in their shows.

Additional FAQ
Where are you based, and how far do you travel? We are based in Donegal, but travel all over Ireland to perform. From Galway to Dublin, Belfast to Monaghan, we have played in every corner of the country. How long do you play for? We usually play a band set of 2 - 3 hours with a short break in the middle. Every event is different, depending on the venue and the timings for these. Having played many of the major wedding venues throughout the country we are familiar with set-up times and work closely with the hotels and venues to coordinate set-up and finish times so we can create the best live experience for each event.   Do you provide a DJ/disco service? We sure do! Our DJ set is very much part of the overall ‘Yetis experience’. The DJ service includes the whole band so when the last song from the live band ends we run seamlessly into the disco. There’s no break in the partying because the disco uses the same large PA and lighting system. The disco runs continuously from when the band ends up until the closing time of your venue. This is typically a 2-hour disco set. As we use the latest DJ software we can play any tunes you want and we welcome playlists provided in advance that we can mix on the night - these can be provided in any way but our preferred method is via Spotify. We also actively encourage people to make requests on the night. Having already provided the live band music on the night, we will have a good idea what genres of music work well with your guests! Can I see you playing live anywhere? We occasionally play at public events, but the vast majority of gigs are private - weddings, corporate events and functions. To get a good idea of what we can bring to your event have a look at our  video  or  testimonials .
FAQ
Q: How long does setup take? A: This depends on access but, assuming we can get to the stage area with relative ease, it normally takes us around 60 minutes to set up and quickly sound check the band. There is often time between the meal and evening entertainment we can use to set up in. We will work with you to make sure things run smoothly on the day.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: We need a playing area of 3 x 5 metres with access to at least two 13amp power sockets for the sole use of the band - this shouldn't be an issue. If your event is in a marquee and a generator is being used we request that a surge protector is in place.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Of course! Before your event or wedding date, you'll be sent a music request form by us which will let you request songs as well as make sure we don't play anything you don't want to hear.
