Swing Band Dublin - The Velvet Lounge are, without doubt, Ireland's premier lounge and swing band featuring a set ranging from Ray Charles to Michael Buble, to our own exciting lounge-style arrangements of contemporary artists such as Amy Winehouse, Radiohead and even The Cure. Performing timeless music that appeals to both young and old, the Velvets will have the dance-floor full all night.

What to expect

With the Velvet Lounge Band you can expect a seamless, professional night of entertainment for your dancefloor. They pride themselves in being different to other bands - avoiding the usual ABBA or 'Amarillo' songs in their set list as much as possible! They leave that to the DJ! If you are after something special and memorable for your dance-floor, then this is the band for you! Featuring Ireland's top jazz vocalist, Cormac Kenevey and one of Ireland's hottest and most experienced pianists and arrangers, Cian Boylan, the combination of these two extraordinary talents guarantees music of the highest caliber. The band was created eight years ago to offer something interesting and of the highest quality for special events and celebrations.

Q: How long does setup take? A: They will arrive at least 60 minutes before they're due to begin playing in order to set up.
Q: What are your space and power requirements? A: The Velvet Lounge Band come complete with all sound and lighting equipment for the night. They have played in most of the venues in Ireland and will be happy to suggest a suitable band size and set up for your Wedding.
Q: Do you take requests? A: Of course! Before your event or wedding date, you'll be sent a music request form by us which will let you request songs as well as make sure they don't play anything you don't want to hear.
